Lincoln University

Design and Advertising

In 2009 Lincoln University was suffering from of falling enrolment numbers and a deepening loss of identity in the marketplace. In three year we have turned both around in one of the most successful rebranding projects in New Zealand’s history.

We worked with a range of key staff members on a rebranding and repositioning of the University to become “New Zealand’s specialist land-based university”.

We turned their small size into an advantage (specialist) and their negative perception into a unique positioning (owning the word ‘Land’ and creating a new definition for it).

In 2011 our TVC broke the Yahoo/Xtra record for click-throughs (double the previous percentage) and the out of home work was a stand-out in the category.

Helping to turn around one of New Zealand’s best University’s has been hugely rewarding and as we build on this success we look forward to continuing to push the brand forward.
